Demo EP - January 2006
This demo was composed, recorded and mixed in two days, and includes four (4) original tracks and samples of seven (7) cover songs. The aim of this project was to capture a raw glimpse of the band without the aid of production techniques or extensive overdubs that would mask the three-piece vibe. The result is an accurate example of a Fonzie Monroe live performance.

Fonzie Monroe was formed in December of 2005 by three members of previously existing bands. A lot of excitement surrounded this new endeavor, and the project immediately gained a reputation for being a powerhouse collective of area musicians. This notoriety quickly led to a busy start for the band, and within the first six weeks, Fonzie Monroe had:
- Launched a website
- Performed over 30 shows
- Booked more than 50 future shows
- Amassed a mailing list in excess of 350 members
- Written, recorded and released 4 original songs
- Recorded 7 cover songs for demo purposes
Much of the bands early success can be attributed to their passion for live performance, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to maintain a full schedule. The three members of Fonzie Monroe are professional musicians with no other source of income, and regularly play shows that are four (4) hours in length to ensure an appropriate level of income. This translates to a set list that not only includes the band’s original material, but also calls upon a catalog of over 100 cover songs to fulfill any length of performance requested. In addition, Fonzie Monroe offers the ability to host “Live Band Karaoke” where audience members have the opportunity to “Sing With a Band”, and join FM on stage. In the rare event that these guest singers wish to perform a song not known by the band, a laptop computer is used to download chord structures and lyrics, making any request possible. (A wireless internet connection must be provided by the purchasing venue to utilize this feature)
By playing regularly, sharing a strong work ethic, and utilizing a mutual ambition for success, Fonzie Monroe has evolved into what many hail as “The tightest three-piece I’ve ever seen.” However, past experience also plays a major role in the current success of the band. Prior to this endeavor, FM’s members have:
- Collectively played over 1,000 shows
- Opened for and collaborated with members of major headlining acts, including:

o Foghat
o Kansas
o DC Talk
o The Band
o Randy Travis
o Charlie Daniels Band
o Ricky Skaggs
- Performed at various major national venues:
o Soldier Field
o Mile High Stadium
o Conseco Fieldhouse
o The Palace at Auburn Hills
o The Meadowlands
o RCA Dome
o Crew Stadium
- Worked as recording engineers, producers & live sound engineers for a combined total of over 25 years, while amassing more than 50 albums to their credit
- Acted as booking agent and manager for several regional bands with a tour radius including the entire Midwest and East Coast areas
Fonzie Monroe is clearly a group of well rounded, highly experienced players that share years of industry involvement, and an overall attitude of professionalism that shines through in every aspect of the band. The most important fact however may be that this is the first project that the members of Fonzie Monroe have chosen to make a push in the industry with, and finally discover how far their abilities can take them…
