Foo Foo Click

Residing in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities, the Foo Foo Click consists of Young Skippa, King Foo Foo, T-Quick, Buddha Foo, and Pro Foo. The group first started off doing freestyle mixtapes for fun with Young Skippa, the group's main MC, writing most of the lyrics. King Foo Foo was the hype man of the group, but soon after established himself as another MC. Together with Buddha Foo making the beats, the Foo Foo Click really started to hit it off. T-Quick, the female singer of the group, believed that there was something special here and pushed the group to pursue their musical dreams. Soon, a long time friend and producer/engineer/MC was finally introduced to their music. This other young individual became the last member of the group and got the name Pro Foo. With the uniqueness and different musical abilities of each artist they come to form the Foo Foo Click.

The name Foo Foo originally started during their early years in high school. As described by Young Skippa, “...it was the year when it was popular to call someone a foo(fool) basically saying,“ man you too funny,” because we always joked around and joked on people (for entertainment aka roastin battles). People would always say, “man you a foo, man you a foo.” After that it started flowing then the whole school would call us foo foo and we went with it...”

Foo Foo Click represents life in the suburbs in their own perspective. Each tune is a representation of who they are, how they grew up, and the lifestyle that they live.. The idea behind the Foo Foo Click is to be original and to stay true to your style and swag. Their inspiration comes from other artists' originality which is sometimes hard to find these days, especially with the industry being so diluted. One of the goals that they want to accomplish is to put Minnesota back on the map and to make changes as a way of giving back to their communities.
