Bio

Started in 2004, Foosa has been writing music that is both melodic and rhythmic in focus. The band has seen it’s fair share of drummers over the last five years. The core members, Dan Gonzalez, Sara Cerbara and Brady Hatin have sewn a thread of progressive melodies through the different formats that were created with said drummers. First and foremost, the band created its foundation and played many performances with Brian Kelly, who is now a successful sketch comedy artist. After BK left the band they turned to a good friend and amazing percussionist named Sean Smith. Sean’s abilities elevated the band’s daringness, which they used to create their EP “Tall Trees: Laying Down.” Shortly after creating this instrumental album the band realized their focus, and began writing their forthcoming album. Sean decided to move on from the band with the birth of his first daughter. Forging ahead the three core members continued writing music in a basement of a house in Brewerytown Philadelphia, combining efforts with good friend Scott Dressler, and finally finding a drummer not only with a desire to play, but the ability to be expansive, open minded, and if nothing else a funny guy. Nate Lackey comes to the band from an in depth musical background, both from being a student of music and by having other notable projects (Igor’s Egg). Foosa has graced the stage with Talkdemonic, The National, Calla, Unwed Sailor, Sybris, The Gay Blades, Persona, and The Flight.
