Bio

Since the early days with at-home sound engineering, Ionic has been creating experimental music that resonates with music fans of varying backgrounds. From his bedroom to the stages of New York City, Ionic spawned an original musical style that is truly ahead of its time. Ionic unveiled Force Theory with the help of two other artists who desired to Feed on his Fire. Rai, the co-lead singer, brings her years of training in soul and jazz to the stage and studio. Her magnetic presence and angelic, sultry voice hypnotizes and ignites every crowd. Sanford, a classically trained cellist, bassist and keyboardist is the third creative catalyst. His keen studio skills and ability to attack music from several different perspectives and influences further diversifies the Force Theory sound. After many long nights at the Sound Space, an NYC studio haunt, Force Theory evolved into a musical breath of fresh flavor, constantly reinventing themselves through unique electronic production and high energy, innovative live performances. These performances have come to incorporate a, "show-within-a-show," crafted specifically for that evening's gig. By threading story, movement, venue constraints and soundscape, each show is truly a unique experience. To enhance each performance, Force Theory looks to Mikenoise as the Master of Ceremonies. Her extensive physical theatre training and vocal experimentation provides cutting edge ideas for each show.

With their first live performance in 2003, the last additions were introduced to the group. Sammy Sunshine fused his soulful musical style into the mix with his horn and flute work. Breeze kicked the beat hard to become the rhythmic foundation with his tight drum skills. Now every little squeak could be heard from the electronic tapestry that had been produced in the studio. Everyone that witnessed Force Theory began to Speak Out about this electro soul experience.
