FORD GUTTA........ THE TRUTH AND THE REAL
FORD GUTTA is more than just your average "RAPPER". The son of a funk pioneer, Ron Ford a long time member of the legendary Parliament Funkadelics, this young Guru has a different perspective on the way hip-hop should be projected.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Ford spent his early childhood dealing with drug addicted parents and hard times. Moving to Los Angeles, California in the late eighties brought poverty and homelessness to the Ford family. His pops left the Funkadelics in the early nineties due to financial mishaps, coincidently leaving the path wide open for his son to develope his musical talents.
After a desparation move to Nashville, Tennessee in search of a better life, things got no better, infact they got worse. Being the youngest child Gutta had to find something to keep his attention off the streets, so he turned to the football field.
Yet it was only a matter of time before music came knocking. Ford, along with two friends from school started C-4. They began purchasing studio time writing and making their own beats. Later the group merged with another local group of rappers to form the group T.F.P. ( Thuggin For a Purpose). Shortly thereafter, a disloyal incident occurred proving to Gutta that this was not the place for him.
After the split, Ford began to work on his dreams of success in the music indusrty as opposed to chasing short-lived rap fame. Investing every dollar he had into a simple home studio consisting of a Dell computer, a Korg Karma Workstation, a hundred-dollar condenser mic, an 8-track Tascam recorder, and an audio software CD scored from an old recording partner.
From there he began to craft his skills and try to find his niche in music. Determined to use his talents to show the lost the light instead of adding fuel to the flames of these hard streets he has walked his whole life.
Currently he is trying to launch Loyalty & Respect Entertainment, and his focus is set on staying far from the norm. You would be hard pressed to find another 20-year old as humble and wise, but yet as confident as this kid. So my advice to the WHOLE INDUSTRY is to be on the lookout , CAUSE THE KID IS SO GUTTA!!!!!
