Over the last month the Edmonton based band has been hard at work in the studio recording singles and writing their second EP. With a couple planned releases before 2013 be sure to stay tuned.

In July of 2011, Forester self-released their first EP, The Prison Leader both digitally and in
physical CD format. Soon after, they were featured in a two-page interview spread in Canadian
magazine Georgie (http://heygeorgie.com), and received airplay on local radio shows for their
single The Witness. Shortly thereafter, the band shot a music video with Vancouver filmmaker
Matthew J. Barrett of Dead City Pictures (http://deadcitypictures.com) for their track, Oxygen.
After nearly a year of playing local shows together, the band added Keenan Kirk on piano to
assist in expanding their sound. Since then, the band has self-recorded and digitally released
two more singles Cigarettes and Horns in January and March of 2013, respectively. Both
tracks have been very well-received; positively affecting ticket sale numbers, and giving the
band tremendous momentum.
Raved as Melodic Thinking Mans Rock by GigCity (an online news and entertainment zine),
Forester has received much praise through various music blogs, publications, reviews and
interviews. They have performed live on Balcony TV (http://www.balconytv.com/), as well as
several outdoor music festivals, including Boonstock 2013 (http://boonstock.ca) and Shake the
Lake 2013 (http://shakethelake.ca).
Forester is proud to announce the release of their debut full length album VANITY out September 10, 2016.
