Aria

Aria was born in Baltimore, Maryland where she was surrounded by the rich
musical heritage paved by famed singers such as Billie Holiday and Cab
Calloway. This has undoubtedly influenced the style that Aria possesses today.

Aria was one of the very few selected to study at the world famous Baltimore
School for the Arts where grew to love and master classical vocal performance.
Aria learned to sing in several languages including Italian, French,
German and Latin. During her study there, she was presented with the coveted Silver Medal from the NAACP for Classical Vocal Performance and was soloist for many concerts across the United States. Aria was crowned Ms. Maryland Talented Teen 1997 and has traveled to the island of the Bahamas to represent her state in the International competition where she was a crowd favorite and spoke on behalf of the competition both on television and radio.

Not only is Aria an accomplished singer, but she is a phenomenal writer. Her debut album “Love is Back” features her writing. She has also written commercials and jingles for
Winterfresh Gum and 88.9 FM to name a few. She writes songs that evoke listeners to hear the
voice of Jesus calling them to know and feel his love for them.

“I can only produce what has been poured into me. I am thankful for being exposed to so much great
music. When I write, I pray and listen for what God wants my audience to grasp. His message is
always love! I want those who listen to me to not only know God on the surface, but gain a more personal relationship with him of which, there is none other like it in all the world.”

When audiences hear Aria, they reminisce on great vocal performers like Minnie Ripperton. The ability to sing with ease at the top of her register makes Aria’s voice something truly special.

“People are always surprised when they hear me hit a high note. I think being a soprano allows me to add a little sparkle to the songs I sing. I love Minnie Ripperton especially because she was able to not
only sing in her comfortable alto voice but also knock people’s socks off with her mastery of the soprano
coloratura range. I owe a lot to her!” --Aria

Music from “Love is Back” embodies all that is within Aria. Her passion for God can
be felt in songs like “Keep On” and “Live for Him”. Aria has been blessed to collaborate with Verian Jeffers (writer for Wilmington Chester Mass Choir and Shekinah Glory) on this first album to create singles “Redemption” and “Lift Him Up”.

No doubt Aria has all the elements necessary to break the mold in Gospel music. She is as beautiful and personable as the coulours of her soprano voice. She looks to continuing to bless
others with her love for God and the unique gift of song that was given to her.
