For Everest

For Everest is a band from New York, NY formed in the autumn of 2011, and is made up of Nick Pitman, Sarah Cowell, Jeremy Hissong, Joe Reichel, Dave Stoecker, and Eric Ching. Originally a solo project by Nick, the band has grown into a group of musicians from backgrounds spanning a variety of genres like folk, post-punk, hip-hop, jazz, singer-songwriter, house music, and everything in between. Experimenting with elements from their vast collection of influences, For Everest's goal is to see what they can bring together in a meaningful way. They currently perform in multiple different forms, as a full band, acoustic band, and occasionally just one or two members solo, around the NYC area and have many surprises in store for 2012.

For Everest is also a part of the GTB Records collective, an independent label releasing homemade electronic music, ambient music, experimental pop, stand-up comedy, and anything in between, made by artists linked not by any geographic or tangible concept of "scene", but instead by chance, the Internet, and really awful jokes.
