"Judd Wasserman's better CD"

"...Wasserman sings well. He has a rich voice tempered with influences-to our ears, anyway-of Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens, and maybe a few others we are unable to immediately recall, but it's also just Judd, original and new and very much his own thing; but he's better than both, because he has something close to perfect pitch, which is shorthand for he can actually hit the right notes, a skill in lamentably short supply these days. And he swings, with spots of sophisticated inflection; he understands a lyric and knows how to turn a phrase or note with a subtle expressive twist..."

Bio

Forget Me Nots create music that is accessible to people from all walks of life, telling heartfelt stories through sophisticated, danceable songs. Each member of the band brings their unique and diverse experience to the music. Judd Wasserman writes the songs and has his hands deepest in the arrangements of the material, covering lead vocals and guitar. Rachel Jacobson-Larson adds color with her five-string violin, with sounds ranging from classical to bluegrass and beyond. Rachel is a key element in the structuring of the music, working closely with Judd to come up with simple and effective arrangements. Brad Gibson offers his intuitive, jazz-inflected sensibility on drums, and Nigel Goss holds it all together with his upright bass. Forget Me Nots turn a song over and over until it is a carefully developed work of art. Their music sparkles with a clarity rarely found in rock music today.
