Bio

Ever since David could remember he was addicted to music. Not only did he understand that it was a universal language, but the sole fact of being able to connect with the songs was an amazing feeling above all others. So soon after getting into bands like Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Story of the Year, he knew exactly what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, make music. With no understanding of where to go from there, it wasn't until 2008 that he found his first band mates, now members of Elizabethtown's own, Goodbye Nevaeh. Soon they had one or two songs done and came up with their band name, Seventh-Cide. But after many disputes in the core of the band, David broke off determined to form another. Then finally, in the summer of 2009 David and Zach became official band mates and decided to pursue music to the best of their ability. After about a couple months they had found a practice space along with two other members to complete their first band, including a bassist and lead guitarist, with David playing rhythm guitar, and Zach on drums, Lucky Eights (yeah i know, shitty band name, but I digress...) Then after practicing for about a year Lucky Eights had stumbled across their first show in Columbia, PA. Unfortunately, in the summer of 2010 the band broke up due to members leaving for college. But David and Zach never gave up. Even through a year of struggles, times of absolutely no incline, and thoughts of even quitting, they pushed on. The only problem was they were only a two piece band with David on guitars and vocals, and Zach on drums. After one night of practice at their usual spot in Drums Etc., for the first time in about three months after a hiatus, they decided it was time to progress. It was finally time to accept the past, and lose our regrets. Which gave them the emotion that created the final band name, Forgive Yesterday. The next year and a half was spent on writing songs, and finding other band mates. After many, many trials and errors, and lots of auditions, David stumbled across a Craigslist ad with a rhythm and lead guitarist looking for a hard rock band. And from that day on those two guitarists, Travis (rhythm) and Naaman (lead) have become not only band mates, but part of the Forgive Yesterday family. Which created the new line-up, David-lead vocals/guitars, Zach-drums, Travis-guitars, and Naaman-guitars. Then out of it seemed like nowhere Brett, a highly talented bassist came into the band and has become part of FY. FY went into the studio to create their first self-titled EP, Forgive Yesterday, in February of 2012 at Atrium Audio in Lancaster, PA. It was produced by none other than the great Grant McFarland who gave a new life to the songs.
