Here's the full story...
Founder/ guitarist/ singer, Zachary Roth, met drummer Steve Lobkovich in High School and they started jamming. They played at a few school events and their most notable performance was an 8 minute version of 'Heartbreaker' by Led Zeppelin, full of drum and guitar solos. They then graduated and went to different colleges. After a month of Michigan State, Zachary knew it wasn't for him. He transferred to DePaul University for 2015 and tried forming a band. He contacted Steve, who happened to be going to UIC, to be the drummer and he obliged. Zachary then met bassist/ singer Christian Flanary in his Jazz Studies class at DePaul and they started jamming. Zachary asked him to join the band and Forgotten Tropics was formed. In May, they all moved in together. In July they released their official EP, 'Ashland Avenue'. Their music is a blend of their influences, which primarily include Rock, Blues, Electronic, Funk, and jazz.
