"Simply I use my vocal talents to please that listener"

To get a feeling for Forte' Carter, one needs only to look at her repertoire.

Clearly, the Los Angeles based singer is not going to get sterotyped any time soon, but her emphasis will be on Jazz, Sunday night when she performs with the Richard Grant Quartet at SOHO.

"I love to please my audience," she said. "I feel great knowing I am getting to the heart of people" to see them laugh or cry, lets me know I made that connection".

Carter is a graduate of the Billy Higgins World Stage Workshop, which has produced such notables as "Black Note". Carter has a clearly defined career objective: "To utilize the full spectrum of my vocal and writing abilities to bring more joy into the world through songs. I love to please my audience. - Tom Jacobs
