"For The Fight"

Blending rock, funk, hip-hop and metal, this local quintet threw down hard with a high-energy set that sounded like a cross between Sevendust and Rage Against the Machine. Lead vocalist Etch began with an attention-grabbing a capella intro and then erupted into “All.” The fury continued with fist-pumping anthems that had the energized crowd rocking out.

Guitarists Ed Konopka and Nick Powers complemented each other nicely with distorted rhythms over sometimes-clean arpeggios that created a lethal combination of sounds while bassist Nate Kincaid, who performed his last show with the band, locked in tight with drummer Dex Stevens and pounded out the heavy grooves. Taking a break from their originals, For the Fight also performed a cover medley of songs that included a rendition of Hendrix’s “Voodoo Chile,” as well as Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” before coming back for an encore and closing the set with their single, “Intervention.” For the Fight has been fighting their way to the top of the music scene since their inception in ’09, and they have definitely come a long way. Keep an eye out for new music coming from them this spring and catch a live set soon. ?????

For The Fight exploded on the local music scene in 2009. Blending Rock, Funk, Hip hop and Metal, For The Fight has carved out a niche as one of Vegas’ best bands. Their brand of “Funk-Fusion-Metal” and take no prisoners attitude has elevated them to the upper echelon of the Vegas hard rock scene. Now having an established and rabid fan base, For The Fight released the well received debut EP “Aftermath”. and have since kept a busy show schedule as well as following up "Aftermath" with singles "Derailed" and "Are you Scared" in 2013, and are currently promoting their latest release, entitled "Silence is the Molotov"  Anchored by the sonic thump of Dex Stevens on drums, and Nate Kincaid on Bass, For the Fight never fails to get the party started. The dual guitar attack of Ed Konopka and Gary Delcoure whips the crowd into a frenzy, and vocalist Etch rocks the mic to bring the music to a fever pitch, His lyrics combining socially conscious subject matters and more upbeat positive introspection.  The band has scored opening slots for Nonpoint, Fear Factory, Butcher Babies, Flotsam and Jetsam and many more.  Do not miss For The Fight when they play at a venue near you!
