Fortuna

Fortuna’s six piece ensemble serves up raunchy, orchestrated tunes, best described as, “dirty disco." Panders of flute, shrieks of strings, squawky sax, and choral harmonies crescendo over wah-wah guitar, funkified bass lines, and infectious four-on-the-floor drumming pounding plenty of sizzle into their punchy and catchy compositions. Frontwoman Madge Colleran forgoes “modesty, that fool’s fantasy”, turning up the turn-on-factor with her unabashedly fresh lyrics, dancing, and fiery vocal delivery for a shamelessly captivating performance. With a winning mix of moves and grooves, Fortuna leads the way to letting loose.

Fortuna's line-up includes members coming from a diversity of Toronto bands such as Forest City Lovers, Brides, and Elle V Gore.
