Liars

Written By: Fortune Falling

I had a dream that I was born for greatness
then I woke up and I remembered that I’m just me
I had a vision that I would be creatin’
the song that everyone would want to sing
Feel that pressure, weighed and measured,
in the eyes of the people I’ll never see

We’re all drifters and liars, we all wanna be famous
We want everyone to sing all our, “Sha la las”
We don’t stand for much of nothing,
except solos and spotlights
we’re just sinners standing center stage tonight

I said a prayer and asked to be forgiven
for excuses and intentions I meant for good
Pride has failed me and vanity nailed me
to a cross I tried to carry, but never could

We’re all drifters and liars, we all wanna be famous
We want everyone to sing all our, “Sha la las”
We don’t stand for much of nothing,
except solos and spotlights
we’re just sinners standing center stage tonight

We’re all drifters and liars, we all wanna be famous
We want everyone to sing all our, “Sha la las”
We don’t stand for much of nothing,
except solos and spotlights
we’re just sinners standing center stage
We’re all drifters and liars, we all wanna be famous
We want everyone to sing all our, “Sha la las”
We don’t stand for much of nothing,
except solos and spotlights
we’re just sinners standing center stage tonight
I’m a sinner standing center stage tonight

Covenant

Written By: Aryn Calhoun/Ashley Gatta

We fell hard from that ivory tower
It didn’t take long to forget about the power
Of a vow we made one day
Between the bickering, the kids and the laundry
Our affections faded and we started searching
For a quick fix, a way out, a parachute to slow our descent

But this marriage ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant, it’s love
and I’m all in whether the ride is smooth or rough
‘Cause this marriage ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant, it’s love

We thought we needed space, but space couldn’t fix
the growing gap between us, we needed a bridge
that would always stand, not made by human hands
We tried to separate, but time couldn’t heal
all our cuts and bruises, emotional scars need
forgiveness and patience, a willingness to work through this mess

‘Cause this marriage ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant, it’s love
and I’m all in whether the ride is smooth or rough
‘Cause this marriage ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant ,it’s love

What if we realize its not about signatures or dotted lines, or who's wrong or right
and what if we decide our feelings are irrelevant in this moment in time,
and we make up our minds…

That this marriage ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant, it’s love
and I’m all in whether the ride is smooth or rough
‘Cause this marriage ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant,
ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant
ain’t a contract, it’s a covenant, it’s love
