Bio

Fosset and Badger:

Fosset and Badger are a two piece, folk rock
and blues act from Wellington New Zealand,
who have recently relocated to Melbourne, VIC.

Imagine rhythmical acoustic guitars driven by stomping
kickdrum, complemented with the sizzle of hi-hats
- and thats just one member! Add some harmonica from the
deepest south, some dark alt. country slide and lapsteel
accompanied by harmonious voices, and you have Fosset and Badger.

Playing with high energy and impact, their live shows
create an alive and enthralling atmosphere as the two
play a range of traditional and contemporary instruments.

Their new release Roaring Lion, on Gallery Records
is out with a range of original songs spanning
the dark alternative country highways to footstompin' blues.
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in 13 hours
in Wellington.

Fosset and Badger are touring the festivals in
Australia over summer.

The Fosset:

Heralding from his native habitat of Wellington, New Zealand,
the Fosset has been gently crafting the themes and music
behind the songs of Fosset and Badger over the past three years.
He is inspired by the places and people of Aotearoa unearthed
in his travels throughout New Zealand.

Starting as a one man band concept with acoustic guitar and vocals,
backed by the foot powered components of a drumkit, he creates an energetic
performance incorporating world/rock and Mississippi delta blues influences.

The Badger:

Nobody is quite sure of the exact origins of the Badger, although
he is a veteran of the New Zealand music scene, playing at most of
NZ's events festivals from Sweetwaters to the Gathering festival in Golden Bay.

With diverse influences from many different genres of music,
he accompanies the Fosset on harmonica, lapsteel and slide guitars.
Badger also uses vocals effects and harmonies (and the occasional theremin)
to paint musical landscapes with sound.
