FOULED OUT is a young and surprisingly refreshing rock band out of the blossoming, but arduous, Nashville rock scene.(Paramore, Kings of Leon, Framing Hanley)
They were "Official Showcasing Artists" at South by Southwest(SXSW) '10 and '07, and Alex was an "Official Showcasing Artist" at SXSW '08. Alex has opened up for Matisyn and Nixon (Evans Blue, Framing Hanley). From "Relay for Life" cancer benefit shows, radio air play in Dubai to opening for Framing Hanley, Fouled Out's music speaks to many different types of people. Winner of '05 and '06 GHS Battle of the Bands. Winner of Gorilla Productions Battle of the Bands '06. Winner of Merrol Hyde Magnet School Battle of the Bands '06, which won them their first demo.
In 2006 FOULED OUT released their 4-song demo "A Walk Through Walnut Ranch" working with PAUL MARTIN(Exile) and legendary producer/musician LEON MEDICA whose impressive list of musical accomplishments include:Grammy Award Nomination (Tab Benoit - Brother to the Blues)
Grammy Award (Anders Osborne for Keb Mo Slow Down)
American Music Award (Dirty Dancing) and many others.
In early 2009 FOULED OUT met producer/musician BRION GAMBOA ( Third Mist/ Star Search semi-finalist) who recorded their single "Smile From a Veil".
FOULED OUT released their single "Smile From a Veil" in '09. Shortly after FOULED OUT recruited drummer Johnathon Hughes and their sound was formed. They recently released a new four-song demo recorded in Murfreesboro, TN with Greg Hopkins of Hopkins Media Services.
With hundreds of shows under their belt. FOULED OUT are no strangers to the stage.
Bassist Aaron Trueblood and singer/guitarist Alex Khoury have been playing together for almost six years. Their bond onstage and off is untouchable, and their live show is something to be seen. With Aaron's "in yo face" bass, Johnathon's precise attack and Alex's unique voice and catchy but meaningful songwriting style, they will stand out in any scene.
FOULED OUT is currently working on new material and booking a 2010 Summer Tour.
