C'est le groupe Four Stories qui ouvrait la soirée pour Arapacis, le groupe du guitariste Jerry Fielden que j'ai découvert le mois dernier au Club One de Montréal.
Four Stories est composé de Mike Shulha à la batterie, Peter à la basse, Marcus Paquin à la guitare et Sahra Coyle à la voix. Dans un style musical plutôt "hard rock", le groupe compte sur la voix planante de Sahra pour établir une mélodicité au dessus des riffs de guitare acérés de Marcus et la batterie bien sonnante de Mike.
Jolie jeune femme d'origines chinoise et irlandaise, Sahra prend bien possession de la scène et des chansons. Parmi les titres interprétés (dont certains étaient tous nouveaux), on retrouvait Funny thing, You got me, Swords R, Every time, Western, After all, I guess, Perfect, Running, Essential et Catfight. FOUR STORIES has just completed their FACTOR DEMO. The band had the amazing opportunity to work with legendary producer PAUL NORTHFIELD (Ozzy Osbourne, Courtney Love, Moist)
FOUR STORIES ' songwriters Sahra Coyle and Marcus Paquin reached the quarterfinals in the 2004 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for their entry "Space Trucks".
