"LEHIGH VALLEY MUSIC CONFERENCE - FOUR THE DAY"

"Left Behind" by the band Four The Day caught my ear the first time I heard it. The vocals are soulful and standout backed by wonderful players who know how to perform live & in the studio. Out of the several hundred bands I’ve seen in the last decade, Four The Day easily makes my top ten list - Bethlehem Globe-Times

"Inspired Original Music"

Four The Day, a Yardley-based original band that delivers straight-ahead, old-school rock-n-roll with urgency and sincerity, celebrates it's self-released, self-titled CD, with a free concert at Puck, part of Doylestown's First Friday celebration. The origins of the band date back to 2008, when veteran musicians Chewning and Milora met at a Halloween party and began writing songs together. It's been a big year for the band, which performed at Musikfest in Bethlehem this summer and recorded its album with Grammy-nominated producer Jim Salamione at Cambridge Studios in Newtown. - Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer

"“You Have to Keep Your Dream Alive” A local band still makes time for the music."

On a recent Saturday night, a rock band called Four The Day walked onstage at Puck, in Doylestown. With Alan Chewning on vocals, Ray Milora on guitar, Eric Greener on bass and Rob Zalewski on drums, they launched into their rousing catalog of original songs.

Puck, with its superb acoustics and musically literate clientele, has long been a premiere venue for live original music. To play there one day is a cherished dream for legions of talented musicians in Bucks County and beyond.

Four The Day had played at Puck before, and at other top-tier venues. But most have never heard of them. They do not have a recording contract, and none of their songs has ever been played on the radio To hear Four The Day’s music, or to watch them perform it live, is to understand something about the music industry in America today: there is great original music out there that goes mostly unheard.

The members of Four The Day have long reconciled themselves to this truth. They bear it with the cynical good humor that comes with age: they are all in the forties and fifties, with families and jobs that leave them little time to brood. It is hard enough to find time to practice.

But practice they do, two evenings a week, at Ray’s house in Yardley. Even Rob, who lives in northern New Jersey, faithfully makes the trip. They look tired when they arrive, having spent the day earning their daily bread….

Bio

FOUR THE DAY is a songwriters rock band made up of members from the Eastern PA and NJ area. Sharing song writing duties across the band has kept the ideas flowing and guys melding into a solid live-performance driven band. Musikfest said about the band "Longtime friends and former bandmates shine through their chemistry."

FTD recently returned to the Sellersville Theater in early November with a rockin set opening for THE TUBES. This was a repeat performance of last year for FTD when The Tubes were in town. They have opened for popular jam-rock band THE McLOVINS at World Café Live in Philadelphia and they closed out 2012 with a show at the Musikfest Cafe in Bethlehem opening for SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY and the ASBURY JUKES.

They have performed at Musikfest 2011 and 2012 and have been featured artists at the Cape May Singer-Songwriter Festival, the Lehigh Valley and Millenium Music Conferences.

As they press on to grow their fanbase through their live shows at many of the region’s top venues, they continue to gain recognition for their songwriting and musicianship.

They released their self-titled debut album and video "The Forest" in the Fall of 2011 – with album produced by Grammy-nominated producer Jim Salamone from Cambridge Studios and video produced by Jack Roberts of marsneedsfilm.com. They hope to be back in the studio in early 2014.
