London based British/ Brazilian band Fox & Fire released their critically acclaimed debut EP “Fox & Fire” on 9th December 2012. The group are described as “A unique and alluring new voice” (Time out Magazine, London), and have already featured on BBC Radio. Fox & Fire are a mixed Brazilian/ British group whose sound has been described as “unmistakably Brazilian but combining a real London sound and production with its original blend of acoustic and alternative pop styles.” The EP was produced by Latin Grammy award winning writer Kiris Houston and lead singer Angelita Jimenez (additional production by Fabio De Oliveira) and Mixed/mastered at world famous Abbey Road Studios in London and mix engineered by Sam Miller (Razorlight/ The Hoosiers/ Plan B). They have already truly sealed their “London Brazil sound” with this stunning debut record.
2012 was an incredible year for them, seeing Fox&Fire's lead singer Angelita dueting with Marcelo D2 at London’s Back II Black Festival which was headlined by Gilberto Gil and Jorge Ben. This was following a sold out show for the band at London’s Dean Street Club. 2013 sees them embarking on a European Tour with shows in France, Germany and Switzerland and appearances in Brazil later in the year.
Fox & Fire is fronted by the “alluring voice” of Angelita Jimenez (Vocals/Guitar), Kiris Houston on Keyboards and Guitar who has already had success in Brazil with Bens Brother who had a trilha on a Globo Novela/ appearences on Jo Soares/Altas Horas, Fabio De Oliveira on Drums/ Percussion who performed at the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony aswell as Sargento Pimenta's European Shows and with international artists Jamie Cullum amongst others. Bass player Moyses Dos Santos has worked with the cream of UK talent including Carly Connor (Sony records) and Soweto Kinch.
Their debut self-titled EP "Fox & Fire" is available for download via ITunes worldwide (including Brazil) from 9th December.
