Bio
Journey into the life and biography of West Coast’s own “ Foxx”. Born Jorge Zurita on Nov. 14,1985 in E. Los Angeles; growing up his household consisted of both parents 2 sisters and a younger brother. His father submitted his life to alcohol, which made things very difficult on the family life. What he lacked at home he found comfort in the streets and amongst his peers. He first discovered his love rapping in 1995 when the late 2Pac first hit the music scene, his admiration for the way 2Pac reached millions of listeners through his lyrics and his incredible delivery. With much practice and persistence Foxx started writing verses.Unfortunately, the streets took Foxx away from his love for music briefly; in 2002 Foxx realized that his passion for music was greater then what the streets had to offer a young man. As he continued to perfect his craft, he soon realized that his writing was a way to release all his inner emotions and his life experiences. Foxx was not satisfied the way “Chicano rap” was being portrayed, he as a Hispanic American committed himself to representing his people and his lyrics the way hip hop was meant to be delivered; truthfully! A reformed street thug, Foxx uses his life experiences to push a positive message to empower others. To him, the world is his pulpit and his mission is to display his skills regionally, nationally and internationally! He serves notice to all, that he is a force to be reckoned with lyrically! In the music arena Foxx has been featured on “Bangarang City” a former Def Jam artist mixtape which sold 10,000 copies. Another one of his projects was on another mixed tape which sold 7,000 copies. He has done several local shows, ranging from schools and to local taverns, he continues to build a buzz and his fan base while still very focused on his journey ahead. Foxx is currently working on his solo debut album “A Billion To One”; he has also worked with close friend and business acquaintance Glasses Malone, a major West Coast artist signed to Hoo/Bang/ Cash Money Records. His collab with G. Malone can be requested on radio, Power 106 and KDAY the track called “Los Angeles.”This young man is here to make a name for themselves and a future that would have been robbed from him if he had not discovered his god given talent to write and perform. Please journey with him and watch as this young-artist blossoms into something extraordinary and unforgettable in the music industry.
