FPPC
Frank Porter (lead guitar), Terry Williams (bass) and Bob Varga (drums) are a newly formed original rock trio called Frank Porter's Problem Children.
All three band members have years of hard-knock, professional band experience. The band writes powerful rock tunes along with some instrumental pieces and a ballad now and then. Reviewers on GarageBand.Com refer to FPPC's music as "Very tasty and a bit funky in my book", "Scorching... hot guitar playing", "great groove, hot band",and "Very tight, very rocking I love it".
This band has gigged at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia and had been gigging under a different name (THROG) and slightly different lineup at places like The North Star Bar, Love Park, The Five Spot, Fire, and The Grape Street Pub as well as the former Whisky Dix and Emerald City (Philadelphia). They were fortunate enough to play the legendary CBGB's in New York City a few times before they closed their doors. This band is all about forward motion so expect to hear more from FPPC.
FPPC gets audiences attention with Rock & Roll Is Now Our Life, Hot Red Lipstick Kisses, and Hobo Blues among other originals. They also perform classic rock cover tunes and adjust their set accordingly based on the venue they are playing.
Frank Porter ROCKS--his guitar playing is reminiscent of those great guitar bands we love from the 70's and 80's.
Terry Williams bass playing is ROCK solid and brings rhythm and groove to each song, and
Bob Varga ties the band together with his ROCKING high energy, hard-hitting, drumming!
These guys are into it, know what they're doing and are TIGHT!!! They take great pride in being professional at all times.
FPPC is working on an upcoming professionally produced CD and continues to add dates to their ever expanding calendar!
