Biography

I went to 102.1 The Edge in Toronto to get a second opinion on our music from host Martin Streek.
I picked a cold Thursday thinking the radio station wouldn’t be busy so I could leave a lasting impression on him.
I plead my case and asked him to listen and give our FrailFragment demo a chance.
“We sound like Tool, Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots,” I said.
He said he would listen to the demo, and he did!
The next week when I went back to The Edge he told me he loved it but also told me what he didn’t like.
I asked him if he could play a song on the radio and he said yes!

All the fights for breaking plans to practise with girlfriends, all the bus rides to the studio in the freezing cold, and all the money spent on demos and recording time that left me broke, made this moment that much more special.

On Friday, March 9, 2007, FrailFragment’s first single, “Time Thrown In” was featured at The Kingdom nightclub live to air on Canada’s biggest new rock station 102.1 The Edge at 9:30 pm.

To this day, Martin Streek still plays FrailFragment, interviews us on The Edge Thursday nights and promotes our Toronto shows.

Our music speaks for itself, what’s your opinion?

Without You

Written By: Len Lamanna

I have seen you so many times before.
Are you here to have fun?
Tease me to please me are the games that you play.
The picture of you will never be far away.

How should I act?
I just try to be myself alone.

You choose the wrong man every night and it’s so hard not to care.
Carry my head holding a blank stare.

How should I act?
I just try to be myself alone.

Fall in love with the sun.
Another day wasted away,
Without you,
all my time without you.

My eyes call to the one that cannot feel.
Because my voice can’t speak to what isn’t real.
The real in you is what I’m trying to steal.

So how shall I act?
Cause I’m all a lone!

Why didn’t you ever tell me that all you ever cared about was money?
Got to live the American dream, by being born on the right street.

Fall in love with the sun.
Another day wasted away,
Without you,
all my time without you.

Statue

Written By: Len Lamanna

No one gets out of here alive.
Walking through the desert,
Only the strongest survive.

You walk on the ocean I’ve cried.
I know your all wrong,
But I can’t help but be with you.
Badly tempted,
Endlessly hoping keeps me alive.

I’m still standing here starring you down.

Something I see in a store window, I could never afford but wish for.

I’m a hard man to get to know.
What you see isn’t what you get.
You can’t love me for who I am, but who I pretend to be.

I’m still standing here starring you down.

I’ll be there for you.

Time Thrown In

Written By: Len Lamanna

Waiting for you is so hard,
Got to find something to do.
You gave up your dreams for me,
I will come through.

The first time I saw you,
Time stood still with a smile.
My problems go away.
Until my heart stops ticking and is thrown away.

Oh it’s just you and me,
With time thrown in.
Oh I can taste the real life about to begin, from within.

When I get back from work,
I got a big old gun.
And I know you’re the one to put it into play.

We can’t be forgiven,
for wasting our day.
Until my heart stops ticking,
And is thrown away.

Oh it’s just you and me,
With time thrown in.
Oh I can taste the real life about to begin, from within.

I need you to save myself.

Believe Me

Written By: Len Lamanna

The secrets out
We’re in love
Your more then I expected
Or ever dreamed of
And what’s gone on here
I’ve never felt before
And what’s gone on here
I feel like I need some more

You’re in my heart so much, words can’t tell you
To feel me
My guard comes down so hard baby this time
You feel me

The mark you made in me
Is where you lie
It’s the spark of light coming through my eyes
And what’s gone on here
I’ve never felt before
And what’s gone on here
I feel like I need some more

You’re in my heart so much words can’t tell you
To feel me
My guard comes down so hard baby this time
You feel me
Keep our light on with no more put downs
You feel me
I have something to say and it’s that I love you
Believe me

Believe me

You’re in my heart so much words can’t tell you
To feel me
My guard comes down so hard baby this time
You feel me
Keep our light on with no more put downs
You feel me
I have something to say and it’s that I love you
Believe me

Believe me

Save Yourself

Written By: Len Lamanna

Your eyes see and reflect nothing
For using your sight and not your soul
Does not change till you look again
Only to realize that you made a mistake

Save yourself
From Yourself
Enjoy your stay
The war has left us
To rot away

Your connection is cordless, heartless
Artificial light
Death spoils life for you
I’ve climbed the mountain for a better view
And became a messenger on a giants shoulders

Save yourself
From Yourself
Enjoy your stay
The war has left us
To rot away

The reinforcements have arrived
Just before the solders have died
And the reinforcements have arrived
Just before the solders have died

I’m here to fuck this up
I’m here to scream and shout
I’m here on the other side
Co-existence can survive
Don’t believe in what I’m being fed
Don’t believe in what the TV said
Every action has a reaction
Because we are the same

Yeah

The reinforcements have arrived
Just before the solders have died
And the reinforcements have arrived
Just before the solders have died
Save yourself
From Yourself
Enjoy your stay
The war has left us
To rot away

Trigger Effect

Written By: Len Lamanna

What can I say?
I was having a fucked up day
No delay
Pulled the trigger and blew myself away

Went off to a land
Far from God’s command
Demanding to see in truth
Of what I had become

Went over the wall
Had a great fall
Had no fate
Stuck in checkmate
Give me a break
It wasn’t for God’s sake

It feels like I just swallowed glass
When will this pass?
The more I know
The less it flows
Darkness glows where
Ever I go

Went over the wall
Had a great fall
Had no fate
Stuck in checkmate
Give me a break
It wasn’t for God’s sake
It was for mine

Mine

You go looking for what you’ll never find
The hurt is too big my cage is too small
The end is the beginning of the end
And what I know is what I pretend to you all

It was for mine
I crossed the line
Decided to see the truth of what I have become

Went over the wall
Had a great fall
Had no fate
Stuck in checkmate
Give me a break
It wasn’t for God’s sake
It was for mine

You go looking for what you’ll never find
The hurt is too big my cage is too small
The end is the beginning of the end
And what I know is what I pretend to you all

Come on

Earworm

Written By: Len Lamanna

I can’t believe the world is ending before our eyes
No choice but to watch
The decisions out of our hands

I can see the world through every ones eyes
You are stronger than
Yet we are the same

And I will try
I will try

Expression gives reality
End a sorrow invent a pleasure

Give me the strength to know you
Does destiny choose me?
Because I’ve chosen you
If I make it through roses will be waiting
That I have picked for you

And I will try
I will try

Expression gives reality
End a sorrow invent a pleasure
Heart conceals instead of reveals
Art conceals instead of reveals

I was born premature
Feeling to much
Energy flows through me
Take me cause I
Am defend by your cries

Expression gives reality
End a sorrow invent a pleasure
Heart conceals instead of reveals
God let me out

Let me out of here

Sink Or Stand

Written By: Len Lamanna

When you look in the mirror
Does the orphan in you weep?
Could you ever look farther?
Fake as fake can be

Did you ever follow your heart?
Have you ever been true to your soul?
Have you ever gone inside
And took control?

You try
To be like me
Get to know yourself
And you will learn how to see
Jealousy and secrecy go hand in hand
Sink in the sand
Or learn how to stand

If you have what it takes you will be rare
This could not be faked

Leaves Fall

Written By: Len Lamanna

People in life end in places,
I should never have gone.
Parts conclude on notes,
That I should never have sung.

Love me with no sounds.
You speak to me with no words.

The leaves will fall, and on.

Are you happy behind the shades?
As time goes on passion fades.
Keep a smile on your face.

We need somewhere to go,
To slow down time,
Allowing us to focus on what really matters.
Life moves to fast to let us care.

Fall

We need somewhere to go,
To slow down time,
Allowing us to focus on what really matters.
Life moves to fast to let us care.

The leaves will fall, and on.

Get Your Hussel Out

Written By: Len Lamanna

Hey man, I hear what you say, some bullshit, I just look the other way.
I have come to understand that you think you can get around me,
Too strong, my people surround me.

What is pretty sad is how mom and dad said that-you-were-the-best, compared to me, you aint no contest.
Your tough guy persona can fill a bottle full of tears.
I have heard you talk your shit, my walls have ears so,

To deafen your fears you stand under my umbrella,
A fine fella,
That has my back, on my back-I give you slack,
So you’ll have a chance one day to make a comeback.
My voice is the number one choice so don’t forget it.
I do not bluff.
Got all the right stuff to bust ya-betting with the aces.
Stick with me, and see all the pretty faces, travel places with elaborate suitcases.

Bring your hustle out.
I bring my hustle out.
We need to set it off and that’s how we push this.
Bring your hustle out.
I bring my hustle out.
We need to set it off and that’s how we push this.

No races when we reach for the stars. Buy expensive cars,
play in world class bars-you could be a friend of ours.
If you wanna play the game you gotta do things my way.
Yet all you do is talk, while I put hotels up on boardwalk.

I sit and wait, vegetate, to communicate.
Till you come round the corner.
Screw in you like a light bulb, become a first class performer.

Bring your hustle out.
I bring my hustle out.
We need to set it off and that’s how we push this.
Bring your hustle out.
I bring my hustle out.
We need to set it off and that’s how we push this.

You think you’re the man?
Working for the man?
Can’t you understand?
Working 9 to 5 is hard to survive-we can be on the same side-paths that don’t collide, try change the world from the inside-confide in each other, brother.
How many more, hit the floor, going to war, till we change things?
Not afraid to sing, you see, it’s my calling.
I’m here to sting to bring aid for my people.
This is my church.
This is my steeple.
