Frances, the singer and bassist for the indie-pop-rock trio, was raised in Colorado Springs, before moving to Nashville, Tenn. The band is heavily influenced by ’90s alternative, and listeners will hear traces of The Cranberries and Florence and the Machine in their music. To date, the band has opened for acts including The Gaslight Anthem and Alabama Shakes. - Hank Sforzini

Frances & The Foundation began in 2010 when frontwoman Samantha Frances and a friend wrote their first song in their living room. After spending some time bouncing around the West Coast, Frances made her home in Nashville, where she forged her no-holds bar attitude and sold her soul to Rock N’ Roll.

Since that day in the living room, the band has grown their alternative aesthetic with a dirtier, hard-hitting sound while maintaining the catchiness of today’s rock-pop hits.

Frances & the Foundation’s influences derive from the world around them, but ultimately comes from the mind and soul of Samantha. Frances’ relatable lyrics and versatile style has lead them to unique opportunities, including shows with The Wallflowers, punk veterans The Gaslight Anthem and Grammy Award winning soul-rockers The Alabama Shakes.

“I’m talking to myself in songs a lot of the time, usually sorting out how I feel about something going on in my life, or how I feel about society. We try to do what we love every day and impact other people’s lives positively,” Said Frances

Frances & the Foundation will be touring in 2019 in support of there 2018 release ( Why not just say it? ).
