Biography

I'm 19 year old italian singer-songwriter, currently living in england. I can be seen as a pop piano man, I pay loads of attention to constructing cacthy vocal melodies à la Paul McCartney and The Police. I play with passion, and believe in what I write, be it true or made up, be it a ballad or a punkish piano based speed song.

Influenced by bands/artists as different as Wilco, Genesis, Donald Fagen, Paul McCartney, Fall Out Boy, Ryan Adams, Harry Connick Jr.

Lyrics

Candlelight

Written By: Francesco Iannuzzi

I'm sitting alone
With thoughts in my head
I wish they were gone but they'll stay till the end

There's you on my mind
There's blood on the streets
There's no one else I wish I could meet to say

Hey, allright
You've just taken everything I had
You just cancel me out with the sun that you eat
Dear night tonight I'm the one you must beat

Candlelight
It's allright
To seize the day and to fear the night
Pity me
Turn around
Can't you see that I'm going down

I will try
I will fight
All the tears just to see the light
I can't go back, just let me put the pieces back together

I gather my thoughts
While lying in bed
But all that it does is put weight on my head

And not even Steph
Could help me get out
She probably thinks I'm a drunk but

I'm not
I guess
This time I wish I were so sure
But my head's in a bubble, my feet in concrete
I'm watching the world from the bottom of the sea

Candlelight
It's allright
To seize the day and to fear the night
Pity me
Turn around
Can't you see that I'm going down

I will try
I will fight
All the tears just to see the light
I can't go back, just let me put the pieces back together

This loneliness just comes and goes

Monday

Written By: Francesco Iannuzzi

Last nigh:
"The case is closed"
Pronounced by
Voices in your room
Inside your bed
Moving on

Tear it up
Don't let this spaceship burn out
Nothing gets me down the way you do

I'm saying bye to all your friends
I won't be seeing them again
From now on

I'm just a spark lost in your fire
And now I can't go any higher
Oh my

Monday
I'll find my own way
The sky is too grey
I'll move on
Tomorrow will be Monday
will not be too late
To get my feet on a road again

Tonight
I'll think about you
For the last time
I won't play no fancy games with you

Somehow
I will survive
Future cries
Of "please come back to me"
Oh no

The world is sleeping I'm awake
I'm laying low I need a break
It's not right

The scars will burn and so I'll shake
My head and smile away
All this time
Relized all I was waiting for was

Monday
I'll find my own way
The sky is too grey
I'll move on
Tomorrow will be Monday
will not be too late
To get my feet on a road again

Of all the places I could be I'll choose the one with liberty
In my life

You've come too far you're through with me
It doens't come so easily
I will not stop

Monday
I'll find my own way
The sky is too grey
I'll move on
Tomorrow will be Monday
will not be too late
To get my feet on a road again

Discography

Springboard 11 was released independently in 2006. Features a collection of 11 songs from the first 50 I ever wrote.

Starting June 26th, one of the songs on Springboard 11 will receive radio airplay in both online and offline British Radio stations and online stores (iTunes, Amazon etc.) through Matchbox Recordings.

I'm now working on a collection of more mature ideas, so far called Tsereve. The songs on this EPK are all from this latter day project.
