Franke Lee

Franke Lee is a band of depth, substance, creativity and soul. Through constant evolution and growth, our unique sound has developed into an intelligent fusion of reggae, rock and blues, with roots in red dirt. Franke Lee showcases dynamic harmonies and overtones, laid over solid instrumentation and screaming leads. Years of formal, vocal, and instrumental training have been huge in our musical development. Our music is a creative outlet and through which we express our love of humanity and the planet.

We are the true essence of an independent band. We write, record, and produce our own music. Through much effort we have built our own studio and take pride in that. The band has been continually advancing in both techniques and equipment to be able to capture the live feel of a band with studio quality. Franke Lee is currently recording our first album.

Franke Lee formed as a band in 2008. We have since played in great venues around the region including Cains ballroom and VZD's. We are a family, literally and figuratively. Franke Lee formed out of the love of music shared by family members and frontmen Mike (pops), Michael, and Daniel Franke. Percussionist, Aaron Lee, rounds out the band, providing "da" beats.

Franke Lee continually supports causes that we believe in such as domestic violence, cancer research, earth day, Save the Illinois River, local art and artists.

The thing that sets Franke Lee apart from other bands is the breadth of style, our drive to create a good sound, and our true love of performing for people.
