Ohio native Frankie Raye has been playing in and around the Tampa Bay area for the past two years. As of June 2011, she has been living in the studio working on her upcoming debut CD, Chapters, which will release mid-December of 2011. She is no stranger to the studio, as she has been recording her own original music since 2004 (first recording at only fifteen years old).Chapters, however, will be her first full production record.
Frankie has been writing her own music since she was 13 yrs. old, and is a self-taught guitarist, as well as a self-taught producer. She spent her early years studying classical voice, and has since then studied almost every genre--- including opera, jazz, blues, rock, and Broadway. Because of her strong theater background, she has been a lead in several musical theater productions in many cities in Florida, as well as a few in Ohio.
