Biography

If you’re looking for blues, bluegrass and beyond, then Strings Attached is the band for you. An acoustic-based music group, Strings Attached is comprised of four friends from the Tulsa area who have a good time and make good music. When Dennis Whitley, Frank Lott, John Morgan and Cory Johnson met they realized they had compatible musical interests.
Instead of just classic country and bluegrass--which they love--they wanted to encompass a wide variety of music types, old and new, as well as plenty of original material played with a smooth acoustic style and vocal harmonies. All four are accomplished songwriters and musicians who simply enjoy making music together…. and it shows.

Move On

MOVE ON
Music and Lyrics By Frank Lott

Left Amarillo Bent like a Willow,
Just Blowing in the Wind.
Rolled into Dallas, That’s where I met Alice,
She was more than a Friend.
But hanging arounds’ never been my forte,
So I kissed her softly, said I’ll see ya someday, and Moved On,
Yea Moved On.

Went Running and Gunning in my youthful haze,
With no thought for how love was spent.
Now that I’m older I wish I had told her,
How much her loving touch meant.
This reminiscing has left me confessing
I lost much more than I found.
Traded the truth for the old eighty proof,
Then one day my knees hit the ground, and I couldn’t Move On
No I couldn’t Move On.

(Chorus)

Move On if you’re hurting even though you’re uncertain
Of what tomorrow may hold.
Move On if you’re sighing, move on if you’re crying
The best is yet to unfold. Yea Move On,
Yea Move On.

Lord you know we ain’t spoken, but my spirit’s broken,
But that’s something I heard you can fix.
It’s my soul’s survival so send some revival,
This old dog could use some new tricks.
I don’t know how to pray or just what I should say,
But I know that I am not alone.
Made a mess of this living sure need your forgiving
If I’m ever gonna find my way home, You know I’ve got to Move On,
Yea Move On.

(Chorus)

Move On if you’re hurting even though you’re uncertain
Of what tomorrow may hold.
Move On if you’re crying there can be no denying,
The best is yet to unfold. Yea Move On,
Yea Move On.

(With the deepest respect and gratitude this song is dedicated to the memory and appreciation of Mickey Newbury and the wonderful gift of his music left to all of us. Frank Lott)
