Bio of Frank Marston
Frank Marston has been playing guitar and writing songs for over thirty years. His early music was secular, singer-songwriter type music. Then, there was a period of many years when Frank did not play or write much music. Several factors were involved for his lack of playing, but the Lord had a plan for Frank (and still does) and brought him back to writing and singing original music
In the fall of 2007 God spoke to him. God was speaking in his heart to Frank and he felt a closer connection with the Lord. God kept speaking to him. He said to become more obedient and bold for Him. Share the music that He was going to give him. Music started coming. Christian lyrics with melodies. Simple words, words from the Bible, words about Christian living, words of challenge, and encouragement. Music with meaning for the believer and the seeker.
Frank started leading worship one Sunday each month at his church. Each month Frank presented a new song to the worship team to learn and play during offertory. People were drawn to the words and ministered by them.
Frank tells people that when he was writing secular music he used to work on a song, but since God spoke to Frank, songs have been working on him. It has turned into an exercise of obedience to The Lord. When music comes, he needs to tune in, understand that The Lord is working in him, listen, and find a way to get the new ideas remembered and written down. Sometimes it is in the middle of the night, sometimes when getting ready for work, sometimes when in prayer, sometimes when driving. When you hear Frank sing, you know that he has a passion for the words that God has given him. Frank is humbled by the gift God is giving him and wants to share it with people.
