"Frank Zones Gram Street, Vol. 2"

So I’ve been following Franky Boo and a couple of other local artist on twitter for a minute now. But I’m sure like so many others, have never even thought about clicking on any of the links and actually listening to his music. Fortunately the week of CIAA, I not only had the pleasure of meeting him but I also got to see him perform. Initially I didn’t know what to expect just looking at him and his posse, which included a couple of lil niggas I knew from Vance, but I digress.

As soon as he took the stage I already knew what time it was… The only thing about hearing someones music live for the first time, especially in the club, you can’t hear all the intricacies and details of the song. So after the show, we chatted and he gave me a copy of the mix tape.

So anyway last week Im having a little session, hot boxing in the car, and all we had to listen to was Future. Ugh, I don’t even know who that is, honestly. Anyway I remembered I still had the Gram Street 2 in my purse. Theres nothing like having an awesome musical experience, when you’re high. I been sleeping extra hard. I had been walking around with the CD in my purse for like 2 weeks, could’ve been bumping it in the car. I didn’t wanna listen to it unless, I actually had time to sit down and really take it in. To put it simply its classic smoker music. Hell even if you don’t smoke its just good music period. You can literally just put it in and let it play. Oh and I cant forget to mention how well produced it is. I hate when you get somebodies CD and the whole thing literally sounds like a demo, but I digress. He obviously has a great ear for music, there were a lot of little surprises on the tapethat I wasn’t ready for. Just wanted to show some love on my blog because I said I would, and I honestly fucks with it.

Don’t sleep, if you haven’t had a chance to check it out here it is:
