Biography

In a world of dark uncertainties and monopolized ambitions, there is still something that touches the soul. Music. It's that universal bond that relates to the heart. A call to feel. Regardless of language or traditions, it takes the deepest longings and tremors of the heart and brings it forward for you to see.

Such is the music of the Franz Family. Equipped with charming musical abilities and a desire to share the love, they've kept the melodies flowing since 1991. Growing up on the stage of Branson, Missouri, the Franz Family learned the marks of the trade at an early age. Holding to a firm belief in hardcore goodness of music, the Franz's work hard to bring you gospel music in a unique fashion. With roots dipped in bluegrass, they've expanded their style with touches of jazzy blues and acoustic pop. In a collection of traditional and original tunes, they've collided the worlds of yesterday and today with agreeable taste.

Talent and melodic ideas wrapped in a purpose. A purpose to remind the world of what has been offered them: the chance to partake of what is good and everlasting. God has called the Franz Family with definite direction to give what has been given them to the public. People who have perhaps forgotten what it was like to live in determined belief and hope without end.

Touring the U.S. and Canada with fast-moving fingers and solid vocals, the Franz Family delivers a fantastically pleasant performance indulging in the greatness of music and the depths of God's love.

Lyrics

Isaiah's Lament

Written By: Audra Franz

The cries will rise up, rise up from hearts in anguish. As the curse on the earth draws nigh the world will languish. The curse of God's broken law the people will own.
Sin betrays the man-you must face your God alone.
Why do you lift up, lift up your haughty eyes? You've been blinded to the trap that will shatter your pride. What have you gained in this world that He's not given you? Hear my voice- God's wrath has come upon you.
Take to the mountains, take to the caves. Run the best you know how in hopes your life to save. But who will you call on when escape can not be found? God's heart is hardened-nothing can save you now.
The chance to give up, give up your godless ways. Was given to you to live in the light of His grace. But mercy has ended and the terrors have just begun. The earth is falling-never to rise up again.
So take to the mountains, take to the caves. Run the best you know how in hopes your life to save. But who will you call on when escape can not be found? God's heart is hardened-nothing can save you now.

Wasting Away

Written By: Emmett Franz

Smoke is rising from the east and migrating west,
the days are growing darker and cold
Death has taken most of us and scattered the rest,
The ground I walk is empty and old
Can anyone hear me, where do I turn
When the only voice I hear is my own

Wasting away with the years
Decay is in my skin,
Eating flesh and groping in,
Traces of ash in my tears,
Bones reduce to sand,
What is this curse that is man

Living feels like dying more every day
I hope you found a better way out
My number of days left gets harder to say,
With every step that time will allow
What is this new ache, this pain that won't stop,
It's tearing out the life left in me

Wasting away with the years
Decay is in my skin,
Eating flesh and groping in,
Traces of ash in my tears,
Bones reduce to sand,
What is this curse that is man

I'm sure I've got to find a cure,
Before my vision starts to blur
My heart and mind are stuck inside,
This shell that's only amplified
My crumbling reality,
That this life is all there is for me
Or is it true that some found a way,
When all of the signs seem to say,

That I'm wasting away with the years,
It's in my skin
Eating flesh and groping in
Traces of ash in my tears
Bones turn to sand
What is this curse that is,

Wasting away with the years
Decay is in my skin,
Eating flesh and groping in,
Traces of ash in my tears,
Bones reduce to sand,
What is this curse that is man

Surrender

Written By: Audra franz

I'm standing at the edge of a cliff
I never should have looked down
Cause I dreamed of this thinking only if
Now I only feel the fear I'll drown
I was sitting watching life go by
Content with my time out this round
Waiting till I could understand why
Praying for an answer to be found

And I heard the sea swirling around me
I felt the angry waves crash at my side
But a voice called me from the sea
Bidding me to come inside

So I followed the path up to the sea
Letting my heart dream all the while
Of the life that lay beyond for me
Beyond this desperate mile
But when I reached the edge of the cliff
I chanced to look down the mountain side
And the height of it made me sick
And I lost the purpose of my climb

And I heard the doubts swirling around me
I felt the fear crash at my side
And the voices screaming above the sea
Bid me to stay outside

I'm standing at the edge of a cliff
But suddenly as I look down
The realization hits me like the mist
I came here to drown
