"Stasera in concerto i Fratelli Mancuso"

Bio

The Mancuso Brothers crossed over apparently incompatible worlds in the last twenty years, trough the Sutera's (their village) lost paths of their native Sicily to the remote suburbs of London.

They began singing professionally without actually realizing it and they are still doing it even when, left the London mists, they came back to Italy, following an ideal, essential song, crucial like a first need.
After the success of "Bella Maria" the Mancuso Brothers have become cultural Icons of their native and beloved Sicily, performing in all major Theaters and Festivals, appearing in Radio and Television, in Italy and abroad. In 1998 their music is licensed for the soundtrack of Anthony Mingella's The "Talented Mr. Ripley". In '99 they are invited to play at the most important competition of Italian independent music: Premio Tenco. In 2003 they release their 3rd cd "Cantu" and write and perform the music for the theatre play "Medea", collaborating with the famous theatre director Emma Dante. In 2008 they release their last album: "Requiem" and are invited to participate at the 3rd and 4th edition of the Giuseppe Sinopoli Festival in Sicily.
Their music has the soulfulness and the mistery of Sicilian traditional music, and explores new horizons blending these ancient roots with jazz and classical music.
