Dallas, TX: With the release of Frausun's second album "Victory Garden," the ambient/electronic, military-fetish duo, with video and BDSM performances, continue creating their controversial and original sound in the Dallas music scene.

"The album '1000' is about my destruction and beginnings of rebirth after tragedy. The songs are raw and filled with struggle. 'Victory Garden' is more complex. It celebrates the Becoming." Kurtz

While Tibetan Singing Bowls and other international instruments are again used, newer European tones have been added as well.

"After I wrote my German opera The Dawn, I was inspired to introduce cello and violin strings, acoustic guitars, and horns into this work. In my song 'The Dervish,' where the twirling of the Sufis are an allegory for ascending sexual conquest, I blended Middle Eastern instruments and calls to prayer with European harpsichords." Kurtz

Frausun continues with their themes of spiritual love, war, and passion, but in "Victory Garden, " Kurtz and DJ The Dove go deeper. From "Sig Sig," which tells the story of a warrior who cannot drink from his father's horn until he is victorious in battle to "Temple of the Delphi," about a woman who is so beautiful she awakens the statues at a museum, the songs are swirling, rhythmic, and war-like. Unconventional tones are utilized, including screams from a mad house and Latin invocations for 4 songs where poetry is read over ambient chants.

As part of the theatrics for the live shows, Kurtz uses video projections of movies he has created and Paloma has starred in, as well as Legion banners.

"The banners contain my personal sigil: The sun and moon in an eclipse, about to become a Perfect Circle and the alchemical symbol for Gold. The rising bull horns reaching towards the heavens as masculine strength and call for sacrifice without fear, during battle." Kurtz

Included in the performance, is DJ The Dove, Kurtz's Muse, who also performs theatrics during the set.

Dallas, Texas: Fast upon their second album "Victory Garden," Frausun has just released a 24 song, double album called "Rista, The Ambient Runes Vol. 1 & 2." The Runes, an ancient language used for divination, writing, and magic, are chanted with experimental sounds and thundering drums, symphonic strings, sitars and atmospheric keys, with each song especially composed to the natural rhythm of the Runes.

"Songs such as "Pertho," which is a Rune that represents secrets and birth, has the looping whispering of a woman confessing to an affair beneath an ascending drum beat. "Inguz," the diamond shaped Rune representing fertility and protection, has each instrument swirling around the listener to completely encapsulate them." Kurtz Frausun, lead singer.

During live performances of the album, Kurtz shows videos highlighting the meaning of the Runes. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own instruments to join in the creation of taking the music in a new direction.

"I like to call my shows 'Interactive Electronic Drum Jams.' People have brought drums, guitars, even they themselves become a part of the creative process with belly dancing."

Kurtz, the official Gothi for the Ski Lady Kindred of Dallas, Texas, performs with his Slave, DJ Paloma, who is also the librarian for the Order. Sworn to Odin, marked by a Spear, he blends his faith and music in all his creative endeavors, from his first electronic album "1000" to his opera, The Dawn, which is scheduled to be performed at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas November 5th, 2011

"I wanted to integrate composing into ritual. Runic music is an excellent way of learning and invoking each Rune through harmony. The galloping hooves of horses for the Ehwaz or the tumbling of coins and creaking of a ship for the Fehu solidify the vision in the listener's mind and enhances the ritualism of their significance." Kurtz
