Dublin's Fred & Bob are not a duo just in case you're wondering. They do however have a habit of writing the kind of songs that The Breeders, Sleater Kinney and Veruca Salt would have given their eye teeth for during the 90s! It's not all retrospective though, these guys and girls have an energy that is so infectious. - Dan Hegarty - 2FM
The name Fred and Bob had me expecting two guys with beards playing guitars. That was not to be, in a good way. Fred and Bob are actually a female led alternative fourpiece who like a bit of indie punk.
‘Caramel Back’, showcases Emma Greenhalgh’s vocals immediately. A change from a steady drum pattern to a driving rhythm hooks you and is delightfully blended with a warm fuzzy guitar sound and an intelligent bass line. At 2 mins 54 perfect pop.
‘Salmon’ is track two, a melodic uptempo track, again produced to perfection for the genre and style. Allowing each instrument its own space and giving Greenhalgh the space to make the most of her feisty vocals.
The band will no doubt be compared to Veruca Salt and they do have a speck of the 1990's but that ain’t no bad thing. They possess an energy and vibrance and are definitely current. ’Caramel Back’ is released on December 5th. - Nessy Mon Blog
Imagine a slightly roughed-up Jades mashed with a nastier Blondie and you're getting close. In Emma Greenhalgh they have a fearsome vocalist... - Hotpress Magazine
Not two lads called Fred and Bob, but rather a Dublin-based four-piece making fuzzy, punky, energetic pop with loads of likable throwback ‘90s indie edges. New EP “On A Good Day” will make you twist and shout. - Jim Carroll - Irish Times
"lots of fuzzed up indie rock guitar sounds and a vocalist that sounds like blondie in a particularly bad mood."
- Road Records (Dublin)

Bio
Contrary to what the name may suggest, Fred and Bob is actually a Dublin based, four-piece alternative band consisting of three girls and one boy. The hard working band has played numerous venues and festivals around Dublin and Ireland including typically energetic performances at Electric Picnic 2011 and the inaugural Camden Crawl Dublin.
Fred and Bob will launch their second EP “Anti-Gravity Love” in June. The EP recorded by Ian McNulty (Ambience Affair, Henrietta Game, Villagers) will be available via their bandcamp site.
Since 2009 Fred and Bob have consistently received strong radio support. The debut single Hex You received airplay on BBC 6 Music, 2FM, Phantom FM and Today FM. The follow up On a Good Day... EP led to a commendation from Jim Carroll (Irish Times), further airplay from Rory McConnell (BBC Radio 1) and a studio session for Dan Hegarty (2FM).
The bands most recent single, Caramel Back, cemented their position on national radio with widespread airplay on 2FM, Today FM and Phantom FM in Ireland. Growing international interest was also evident with airplay in the UK, Netherlands and the US.
Fred and Bob have been dubbed an "act to watch" by Dan Hegarty of 2FM and aim to deliver on that tag with their new EP and live performances later this year.
