The American soulsinger Freddy Hall did it. 250 listeners at the “Birrutsche” (beer chute) were standing on their heads. The black musician’s repertoire of soul-Reggae- and oldie music was nearing its end during his first appearance in the Rattenfangerstadt (city of ratcatch), but his inspired fans weren’t ready to let him go. Freddy Hall who started this
year’s Germany tour, added another hour and half before the 250 allowed him his well deserved rest. Freddy showed what he could do. Impressive his repertoire, impressive also his musical know how. Whether on the banjo, the guitar or the piano, the US musician controlled everything perfectly. After the inspiring concert the people of Hameln may look forward to the 20th of September, then Freddy Hall has his next appearance during a Riverboat-Party on the Weser.

Freddie you were MAGNIFICENT yesterday morning! Best part of an event I love, which
lacked its usual luster (for the 1st time). You really stole everyone's hearts, emotions, and
commitment. Thanks! Hadn't heard your voice since "Bess, you is my woman now" last year at the Humanities Scholars Collaborative. Now, I realize that was just a tease.
At least I knew to expect something extraordinary when you were announced on
the program at the start of breakfast, so I told the people at my table,
"Hush. Just listen." They were thrilled.
