Some people have told me my sound resembles Girl Talk’s work. But if you listen to both our projects, the difference is undeniable. The naturalness, the transitions, and use of relevant samples in junction with my production are all elements that make my sound one of a kind.

Biography

I am a 23 year old recent Kinesiology graduate from the San Fernando Valley. After graduating college I had to re- evaluate my life and decide whether I wanted to dedicate my time towards grad school or music. It was a no-brainer. I always knew I wanted to do music professionally at a young age. As a child of hard-working immigrant parents, music helped teach me English growing up. I started doing music by writing rhymes and wanting to be a rapper, then I decided to be a producer for a while, and then I got turntables to be my friend’s DJ and decided to be a DJ. I never really liked mash-up music much; it was always sounded corny to me. Until one day I came across the work of artist like Mike Relm, DJ Z-Trip, and Dangermouse’s earlier work. Nightclubs did not like the fact that I played an eclectic mix of music from all genres. So I stopped trying to be a club DJ and decided to focus my time on a project that incorporated different genres of music I liked. A couple of months later I came up with “The Molotov Cocktail Party Effect”, a mash up project where I sample songs regardless of genre & find interesting ways to put them together and recreate them. Some people have told me my sound resembles Girl Talk’s work, but I believe they say that strictly because we are both sample-based artist. I am currently working on my second mash-up project and my rapping debut :) Recently I was chosen as the grand prize winner of the "Scion Sickest Playlist Contest", where I have DJ's like Treasure Fingers and Klever performing at the grand prize party. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Much appreciated. Take care.
