Bio

Freddy Fudd Pucker was born from the salty brine of the South Pacific, hailing from a small town at the southern tip of New Zealand’s southern Island, a place that genuinely feels like the edge of the earth, battered by Antarctic winds and ocean currents. For the last four years he has not had a home as such, preferring to live a life in constant, DIY, “shoe-string” travel performing and making homeless friends throughout Australasia, America and Europe.

As well as releasing several “paper bag” EPs, Freddy released his first full-length album in 2006. 2009 brought the release of his second album “Filth Standing on a Soap Box”, a 14 track album with an accompanying 15 page, graphic short story. All recordings, from performing and engineering to manufacturing, were purely a solo effort.

From June until September 2009, Freddy toured the USA’s living rooms, garages, basements, dive bars and back yards. He played just over 40 shows from California to Washington, Arizona to Florida, Georgia to Connecticut. He found himself in the company of a counter-culture of people battling the political and financial unholy circus that is the present day United States of America.

While dirt-bagging it around Portland in early July, 2009, he staggered across two Texas women. A love of music and song writing was the egg; whiskey and cigarettes the sperm. “The Little Girls” were born without the help of any medical or musical professionals. The child is growing up to be an interesting three piece, performing Freddy’s lyrically awkward creations with old-time influenced instrumentation and three part harmonies.

Freddy continues his life of continuous greetings and goodbyes, turning strange and varied conversations and experiences into strange and varied songs.
