Bio

"If you hold love keep it in your hands" Freddy Hall sings under the glowing lights and recently silenced crowd at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts. His well crafted lyrics, dynamic voice, and heartfelt guitar playing have people hushing their friends, leaving drinks at the bar, and walking to the front of the stage to witness a new found talent.

Singer/songwriter Freddy Hall draws inspiration from legends such as Paul Simon, Damien Rice and Ben Folds. The Virginia native started playing guitar after a trip to New Orleans at age 9. He spent his sight seeing in and out of music stores begging his parents to buy him a guitar. His dad compromised and bought him a guitar pick. When they returned home, Freddy kept his pick by his side and would pretend to play guitar when alone in his room. He had caught the music bug.

At age 11, Freddy began writing music under the inspiration of his guitar teacher, and fellow singer/songwriter, at the Music and Arts Center in Virginia. He continued to develop his craft and quickly formed a band when he entered high school. Undecided on what career he wanted to pursue in college a teacher, of whom he holds great respect for, recommended he start thinking about taking music seriously.

In 2003 Freddy enrolled at the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He was far from being underneath the radar. Well known for his outgoing personality, positive attitude, and talented songwriting, teachers and students gained a respect for his music. He was the winner of the Berklee Singer/Songwriter Showcase and Berklee Songwriter Showcase in both 2006 and 2007.

Freddy recently relocated to New York City with a degree and array of original songs. He is constantly performing and continuing his never-ending goal of connecting with more people through his music. He will be performing in various New York venues this month so keep your ears open for his next show.
