Bio
Frederikke Bohr is a Danish singer and songwriter, born in 1986 outside of Copenhagen, Denmark. She is still a new name to the music industry, however, she has given shows and performances in most of her home country as well as different places in the US over the past many years. Frederikke was raised in a stimulating and musical environment and from a very young age she has been singing, playing the piano, and working her musical skills. With a background of listening to both Classical music and other styles and genres, she has developed an open mind to music with its many different worlds and nuances. She has studied music and Vocal Performance at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen and very recently at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, US.
Frederikke Bohr writes songs in English and her songs fit the Adult Contemporary and Pop genres with strong inspiration from the roots of Soul and R&B. One of the characteristics of her music is her use of improvisation. This shows in her own phrasing of the melodies and in the way she interacts with the musicians on stage. She is always deeply immersed in her material and this is obvious in intense live performances, where she engages the audience with authenticity, honesty, and strong passion for the music.
Frederikke Bohr is a strong lead figure and by standing alone in front, she creates an open and vulnerable universe, carried by her unique and powerful voice.
