Bio
Producer Fred Lavery has been part of the East Coast music scene for almost three decades. As a producer, songwriter, and musician with many of the regions finest musical acts, Fred’s talents, experience and knowledge are valued on stage and in the studio.
While managing Lakewind Sound, one of the most successful recording studios in eastern Canada, Fred has produced recordings for established artists like Aselin Debison, The Men of the Deeps, the Barra MacNeils and Sam Moon, as well as new comers like ECMA Rising Star winner, Stephanie Hardy, and singer songwriters Carmel Mikol and Chad Tetford. Fred’s total production credits number over 40 CDs to date.
One of the most prolific producers in the region, Fred has been recognized with multiple industry awards and nominations’ including two Music Nova Scotia wins as Producer of the Year. Most recently he was awarded the 2009 East Coast Music Association “Industry Professional of the Year” and was nominated as “Producer of the Year” at the 2010 ECMA Awards.
