Fred is currently the Worship Pastor at River in the Hills Church located in the Lake Travis area, just outside of Austin, Texas. Ministering in the city he was born and raised in is a great reward for Fred. Fred has a powerful testimony of how God has taken a life filled with abuse, drug addiction and tragedy and has turned it into triumph. He is truly a trophy of God’s grace; he
has overcome the odds and is a voice for the broken, down trodden and hopeless. Fred has the amazing ability to speak transparently to the hearts of people. He leads people from a place of despair to a place of hope
and redemption through a dynamic and powerful worship experience. When Fred leads worship his passion, love for the Lord and people is the driving force. He encourages us to move from being mere spectators to participants in worship.

Fred came to know the Lord in a small Baptist Church. It was there that he was mentored and discipled. He later went on to serve in an Assembly’s of God church as a Worship Leader. For the past six years, Fred has been on staff at a Non Denominational church and has many distinct musical influences that have contributed to his worship style. Because of Fred’s unique musical background, he is able to carefully intertwine his own original material, and contemporary along with the traditional hymns we all hold dear to our hearts. To keep from compromising the rich heritage we have in worship, Fred creatively weaves a tapestry suitable for any specific setting. His energetic and enthusiastic spirit is both refreshing and contagious for all ages. He isn’t just a Worship Leader, he is a passionate follower of the Lord and participant in the whole worship experience. The characteristic most referred to as Fred’s best quality is his ability to be real and transparent with people. He has an anointing that truly comes from the Lord. People who know him have come to treasure that special quality about Fred.

In addition to serving as the Worship Leader for his congregation, Fred and his wife Amy served as the Youth Pastors in their church for five years. They planted seeds of inspiration into today’s generation. Students were challenged in powerful teaching, higher standards to live by and intimate prayer, praise and worship. Together, Fred and Amy have hosted numerous youth events, retreats community-wide outreach events and more. Today, they serve in the Worship ministry in their church and lead worship for various events outside the four walls of their church. They reside in Austin with their four children.

I See You

Written By: Fred Thomas © 2005

SONG INSPIRATION
Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities---His eternal power and divine nature Have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, So that men are without excuse.”

VERSE 1
Lord I see You all around me
In the light of each new dawn
I hear You every morning
As You wake me with Your song
I feel you right beside me
And I know I’m not alone
Your Spirit gently moves me
To the place that I belong
You fill my heart with courage
To face another day
I’m amazed at how You manage
To show Yourself in so many ways

CHORUS
I see You, I see Your hand on my life
I hear You, I hear Your voice deep inside
When You whisper to me softly
I feel Your love all around me
Oh and I believe, cause I see You

VERSE 2
Well I find myself searching
For a glimpse of You each day
Sometimes my senses fail me
And we seem so far away
In the face of what confronts me
I question my belief
How do you believe in something you cannot see?

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Well I’ve heard many stories about faith
And I’ve come to understand what they mean
You see I’ve touched things I hoped for
And now my eyes have seen
Oh and I believe

CHORUS

Rejoice

With the flute and the harp
We long to touch Your heart

As we dance around Your throne
Be blessed, be blessed,
Lord, rise and be blessed
As we praise You with our song
As we laugh and play
