It seems that these days in Hip Hop triple threat artists are a dime a dozen. With artists striving to stand, be heard and being completely independent artists are left with the option of linking up with great up and coming producers and writers, or strictly doing it themselves. That seems to be what is happening today. It seems as if every artist is a songwriter, producer, and rapper. Everyone does it all themselves, but every now and then you get an artist who can do all that but separate their self from the rest of the pack, like Kanye, Big KRIT, Mac Miller, Chuck Inglish, etc. Well I think down here in Austin, TX I have found that one artist who can produce, sing, rap, write a song, and separate himself from everyone else in Aaron Jr.
Aaron Jr. hails from Round Rock, TX a small town in the Austin Metropolitan area. He first emerged and began making a name for himself as a member of the Austin/Round Rock, TX rap group First Class Fresh. Being a producer/artist for First Class Fresh Aaron Jr. perfected his craft and contributed to the success of FCF. Somewhere down the line Aaron Jr. and the rest of the group had creative differences, so Aaron Jr. parted ways from his long time group and friends. He officially started his journey as a solo artist. Shortly after his departure from First Class Fresh Aaron Jr. teamed up with rising independent label in Austin 1987 Music Group.
As stated before Aaron Jr. produces, raps, song write, and can sing. Now he’s no Miguel or anything like that, but the brother can harmonize, and carry a note. His very Drake like style seems to be what people like and are truly feeling what he has to say, whether is be about thinking about a jilted lover to having party. Aaron Jr. gives you well roundedness with his music. He creates songs that most people can relate to, and I believe that’s what drawing more people to his music.
I got a chance to chop it up with Aaron Jr. about a few thing from being caught up into the hype, family support, and his upcoming debut solo project SuperFocused.
FPATX: Looking back on the year so far, how do you feel about your progress so far?
Aaron Jr: I feel like i haven't made enough, but its dope being recognized by Fresh Prince ATX, who plays a big role to Austin’s music scene. Preciate the look out.
FPATX: With the Internet having everyone feeling like they're famous, what do you do to keep yourself from buying into the hype?
Aaron Jr: Keep it real with myself, this interview is probably the most hype Ive ever had and being famous isn't really on my priority list. I just happen to keep making music while I'm dealing with life.
FPATX: When you're not making music what do you spend your time doing?
Aaron Jr: You can find that in my music.
FPATX: I know when it comes to chasing your dreams there are people who ride with you and people who not as supportive as can be. Who are some of the people that motivate you to keep it pushing with the music, and does your family support you?
Aaron Jr: God keeps me motivated with everybody he has put in my life, even without support, but I find a greater appreciation to those that do.
And yea the fam supports me, I probably wouldn't make music if they didn't.
FPATX: Do you ever get discouraged to give up on the music?
Aaron Jr: There were times in my life that I could of let myself but it ends up turning into a song or something.
FPATX: What can we expect from you in the near future?
Aaron Jr: SUPERFOCUSED and everything that has to do with it.

With his buzz steadily growing, two solo mixtape under his belt, and a full length all original project in the works Aaron Jr’s name is sure to stay in the mouths of the people.
