Begun like all great bands – the result of a drunken boast gone horribly wrong Free Lobster Buffet has since taken the East Coast by storm with its unique, audience-interactive lounge style and hard edged Pop/Rock/Ska music. The Buffet's irreverent originals and high-energy cover versions of everything from Reel Big Fish to have thrilled audiences in major clubs, private parties and prominent music festivals.
Joan Bishop’s lead vocal stylings bemuse the most avid fan. Her vibrant energy is infectious.
Buffet bassist Chris Boesen cut his teeth in the mid-80's metal Mecca of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Chris leads the way in fashion sense and energy and is widely known as the "hardest rocking lobbyist on Capitol Hill."
Chris Swearingen began his custacean career on drums many moons ago. He is a natural beat-man. His passion for percussion keeps the band focused and crankin.
The newest lobsters include Ben Young on lead guitar, Josh Haas on trombone, Carson Wahl on trumpet and Dan Bradley on tuba. The ocean is richer for their presence.
