Bio
Based in the Fremont/Ballard area of Seattle, WA, Master Drummer and drum maker Bill Matthews founded the Fremont Drum All Stars over ten years ago. He has been teaching, performing, and generally spreading the joy and love of West African, Afro-Haitian and Afro-Cuban rhythms throughout the Puget Sound region and beyond for 20 years. Well-known for his teaching, drum-making, acclaimed instructional DVD's and traditional rhythm compilations, Bill Matthews also regularly performs as the leader of the Fremont Drum All Stars.
