In winter 2008, after studying psychology at Université de Montréal, unbeknownst to him, Lee Rose created FWI. Being a solo project until then, FWI expands and really starts to materialize when its world collides with the equally plentiful and corresponding one of Francis Ford, graphic designer, associate and long-standing friend. The pleasant and random alliance, following the demise of loved ones, with a short-lived thought, strewed the burning need to fully explore their creativity. Almost immediately, and full of energy, Lee and Francis compose together and harmoniously accelerate their production. With the same sense of urgency, Francis trades in his pencil for his guitar with which he connects for the first time a year ago. Inspired by each others’ rich artistic paths and within this very productive artistic phase, FWI is created and named in remembrance of the duo’s origins.
Lee and Francis have similar influences such as The Police and The Clash.
