Bio

FREQUENCIA
Rock en Español- U2 meets Ours with a peyote twist.

Frequencia delivers fresh music influenced by Spanish Rock that’s been
blended with alternative rock. Originally formed in Chicago and now
based in San Antonio, Texas, the band delivers high-energy enthusiasm
and polished musicianship to their growing fanbase. Their live
performances draw comments such as “AWESOME…CAN’T WAIT TO HEAR [THE
MUSIC] ALL OVER AGAIN!”

Frequencia members—Ismael (drums), Lalo (bass), Chuy (guitar), and
Neto (Vocals)—mention bands like Radiohead, Coldplay, Los Bunkers,
Lucybell, The Cooper Temple Clause, and Vaquero when discussing the
inspiration for their own unique take on today’s evolving Spanish Rock
sound.

In general, the members of Frequencia share Ismael’s experience. “My
father played in an Estudiantine,” says the 24-year-old, “which is like
a Spanish version of an orchestra, and my mom loves to sing. Music’s
just always been a big part of me—since I was a little kid.”

Their love of music and their extensive experience has resulted in
recognition from many sources. Frequencia won the Sugarlight
Productions “Battle of the Bands” competition and received a nomination from Univision’s Premios a La
Mústica Latina. The band’s music has been featured in the short film,
“Awakened by an R” produced by Short Ends Project and heard on the TV
shows “Desvelados” and “TVTU” in Monterrey, Mexico, and on the Radio
Unica radio station in Dallas, Texas.

Frequencia’s unique artistic style distinguishes them from other bands
of their genre and their popularity demonstrates that the quality music
they create is indisputably explosive and chartbusting.
