Bio

Frequis is a female-fronted hard rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. Their distinctive sound is defined by a powerful yet melodic voice, a relentlessly driving rhythm section, dynamic guitar solos and high octane live performances. The song writing and their vocalist's unique vocal range and refined screaming ability set them apart from any other female-fronted band.

Providing the face and voice to the band is singer/lyricist Cassie Aguiar, who fuses her operatically refined vocal prowess with a surge of post-metal screaming to command and captivate her audiences. The sound is complemented by the melodic, bluesy, yet tastefully technical lead guitar work of Chris Nastri. Brian Morris completes the Frequis sound with his clean, responsive playing and excellent sense of music and progression. Jared Johnson adds exciting melodic bass lines that bring skillful bass playing back to rock music, and underneath it all is Pete Czapiga's creative drum style which combines technical progressive drum beats with tribal melodic rhythms.

Frequis hit the studio in early 2011, traveling to Los Angeles to record with legendary producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Jack's Mannequinn). They released their debut self-titled EP in July 2011 to overwhelmingly positive reviews. The single "Sleeping Theories" won over John Holmberg and the rest of the crew of Holmberg's Morning Sickness on 98 KUPD's Playdio contest, giving Frequis the opportunity to open for Steel Panther at Arizona's Celebrity Theatre. Numerous interviews, features and sponsorships later, Frequis has become an unstoppable force.
