FreshMen

FreshMen is a rap duo, consisting of two artist from Detroit MI, raised in Southfield MI, V.I.P. and APeezie. They have been in the same musical association (iLL-a-Fam) for 4 years and a duo for 3 years and have put out two mixtapes last year named "School Is Out", and "Not Your Average". Both attend Eastern Michigan University and they pride themselves on being different. The mixtape "Not Average" you can tell the difference between them and the average artist, they clearly point it out. Both of their styles are very similar to each other and both are very versatile depending on the beat. They can rap about real situations, they can just go in on tracks, they can make songs that are very playful, usually about the clothes they wear, and they can make songs for the ladies. The single they are currently pushing is called "A Breath Of FRESH Air" FT. Keely. A demanding song, with an upbeat tempo guaranteed to make you want to get up and dance a little. The beat is captivating and it's something a little different for the people. They hooked up with the singer Keely who also did work with GOOD Music Recording artist BIG Sean on his mixtape Finally Famous Vol2. Her vocals take the song to another level. At the moment they are working on their third mixtape which is also entitled "A Breath Of FRESH Air". You can expect new and surprising music. Their creativity is on point and the concepts of their music are hyped up to be better than ever. They both do this for the love of the music, and they just want everyone to enjoy and know that they are for real with it.

APeezie is not only a rapper, he doubles as a producer, his beats have that old school flavor but they are still new and innovative. He spends most of his time on his laptop making production for local rappers. The demand for his beats locally have sky rocket after recent performances of the Duo's Single A Breath Of Fresh Air, APeezie did the production for the song. V.I.P. spends most of his time in front of a computer also but not making beats like APeezie. He's all over the internet constantly promoting and trying to push their music to blogs, over twitter, bandcamp and facebook.

FreshMen record at one of the best studio's in detroit, Capitol Park. Some of the best music in Detroit comes out of that studio, Dirty Glove, We Maejor, and Finally Famous, even GOOD musics own Big Sean records in capital, so they work with one of the best enginners in the state to make sure their music sounds A1.

In the last year FreshMen has really been on their show grind, they've performed numerous times at shoe boutiques, clubs, lofts and Frat houses through out the year. They have atleast 2 shows a month with in the city, they know how to get the crowd into their performances and are very energetic. Performing is the fun part for them, to hear the crowd get all in to the music they put their heart in to making really makes them feel it was all worth it.

FreshMen (VIP and APeezie) really work hard at what they do and they don't want to do anything else, they put their all into everything that has to do with business, whether its writing, recording, producing ect. this is what they want to do, this is what they were born to do.
