He is indeed hiphop to the core, however he steps in to the "Cleveland" sound, using melodic harmonies, (Bone Thugs, Kid Cudi) but blends in elements of pop, alternative, and sprinkles in a little pain and self reflection to make for a beautiful, unique music experience.
