Bio

In 2009 the Freyja Project comes to life. The choice of this name wants to be a tribute to the most important feminine God of the Norse Mythology: the goddess is very special, she has two faces. On one hand she's the Goddess of love, spring and beauty; on the other she's the powerful God of war and seduction, the one who owns the magical seidhr arts through which she could realize divinations and enchantments. The current music band consists of 5 members: Feffa (voice and guitars), Dopa (guitar and fx) Sterzo (guitar) Babs (bass) and Brontolino (drums and live backing vocalist). Three guitars overlap their lines, characterized by modal tunings on a strong rhythmic session. Grown up in a small town close to Caserta , the Freyja merge their musical ideas in a mix of experimental rock, raw and granitic riffs that make room to the overlapping of arpeggios, essential base to shape the melodic vocal lines of the singer. In October 2010 the Freyja record their first album The Garden of A Sleepless Man at the Westlink Studio, produced by A. Paolucci, a concept in which the various tracks will be linked together by a main theme: Time as Pirandello meant it; Time as one of the many illusive speculations created by men for theorical and practical needs, so it's meaningless and fake like all the others. It's true, instead, the notion of 'duration' or subjective time scanned by human conscience , by human way to live the night, the dreams, the beats and the most hidden dreams.
